Woodward, Okla. —
Max Harrell, 75 year old Springfield, Oregon and Gage, Oklahoma resident, died Saturday May 31, 2014 at his home in Gage. A private family burial will be held with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
John Max Harrell was born in Safford, Arizona on June, 20 1938 to William Clyde and Ruth (Noll) Harrell. John was reared in the Gage area and attended Gage Schools graduating with the class of 1957. After graduation John attended Lane Community College in Oregon.
On July 7, 1963, John married Carol LaCamp in Fargo, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with three children, Brian, Russell and Samantha.
The family moved to Oregon where John worked as a mill worker and timber cutter in the lumber industry.
John had many hobbies which included working on any type of car and collecting classic cars. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping in his R.V. and especially spending time with his family.
John is survived by his wife Carol of the home; two sons, Brian Max Harrell; Russell Craig Harrell both of Springfield, Oregon; one daughter ,Samantha Sue Clark and husband Rob of Eugene, Oregon; two grandchildren, John and Laura Clark; three sisters, Clydene Harrell of Arlington, Texas; Marilyn Nickeson and husband Larry of Fargo, Ok; Cindy Miller and husband Larry of Fargo; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father in law Everett and Irene LaCamp, and Brother Michael w. Harrell.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross with the funeral accepting the contributions.
