Woodward, Okla. — Delores Rogers, 72 year old Woodward resident, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward.

Delores (Schlegel) Rogers was born on December 30, 1940 to Daniel and Pauline Schlegel in Otis, Kansas. She was reared in the Hoisington, Kansas area , and graduated from Hoisington High School in 1959. On July 7, 1969, Delores was united in marriage to James William "Nubbin" Rogers in Hoisington, Kansas.

She enjoyed many hobbies which included bowling, reading, puzzles, crafts and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner and Dallas Cowboy fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Haylee. She also enjoyed her weiner dog Minnie Mouse.

Survivors include husband James Rogers of Woodward; two daughters Roxanne Stavig and husband Doug of Austin, Texas; Lori Waddle and husband Wade of Woodward; three sons Jimmy Rogers and wife Cindy of Madill; Larry Rogers of Oklahoma City: Bradley Rogers of Madill; three sisters Pat Raybern; Berniece Clingenpeel; Ila Fair; seven grandchildren, Haylee, Kelsey, Whitney, Chase, Hardy, Alexis, Michael and wife Alisha.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Wilma.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association with the funeral home accepting contributions.
