Carroll "Kibby" Ralph Rollins

Woodward, Okla. — Graveside services for Carroll “Kibby” Ralph Rollins, 89 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma with Pastor Tony Barros officiating, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.



Kibby, son of James A. Rollins and Ruby (Carroll) Rollins was born October 5, 1923 in Dallas, Texas and passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Corn Heritage of Weatherford, Oklahoma following a brief illness.



Kibby spent his childhood years around Madill and Clayton, Oklahoma in Pushmataha County.  At age 15, following his mother’s death he went to live with his sister, Josephine and her husband, Sydney in Fairfield, Texas until his enlistment in the Army Air Corps at age 19.  After being discharged from the service in November 1943, Kibby worked for Geophysical Co., then the Stock Exchange Bank in Woodward, Oklahoma where he met his wife, Margaret Jo. Corbett.  They were united in marriage June 1, 1945.  After the Woodward tornado of April 9, 1947 he went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company until his retirement in 1985.



Kibby is survived by his wife of 68 years,  Margaret Jo Rollins of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sons, Jerry Wayne Rollins and wife, Won of Benton, Arkansas and Michael Lee Rollins of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Shawn Riseley and wife, Kimber Lynn of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Diane Hughes and husband, Kevin of Benton, Arkansas, and Jack Wayne Rollins of Benton, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren, Braden Asher Hughes, age 14, and Kaylen Rylee Hughes, age 8 of Benton, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and two step-grandchildren, Aaron Holmes and wife, Sylvia of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Noah Holmes and wife, Debbie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and one step-grandson, Corey Holmes of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James A. Rollins; four sisters, Pauline Patterson, Louise Kiblinger, Joshephine McIllveen, and Lucille McClendon; and daughter-in-law, Diane Elaine Rollins.
