Woodward, Okla. —
An investigation into possible criminal misconduct involving two Sharon Mutual teacher/coaches was announced Wednesday by Woodward County Sheriff Gary Stanley.
The announcement of the investigation comes just one day after the resignation of Reese Stuart Lujan and temporary suspension of Kevin Jewel Krows was confirmed by Sharon Mutual Superintendent Jeff Thompson.
Lujan was a teacher and the boys basketball coach.
Krows has been girls basketball coach at the school since December 2009.
According to the incident report, on November 26, 2013, the Woodward County Sheriff's Department took a report from a school official alleging possible "inappropriate behavior" between some staff members and a student or students.
The report notes the type of offense as being "Inappropriate touching."
No charges have been filed and the incident is under active investigation, Stanley said.
"Because one of my deputies has children that attend school there, I have requested that the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation handle this investigation," Stanley said.
Thompson repeated his statement from Tuesday, stating he could not confirm anything about why the staff members resigned or were suspended because it is a personnel matter.
"And the only thing I am able to say about the investigation is that there is one."
Sharon-Mutual High School Principal and head football coach Chris Syms also resigned his position recently but is not listed as a suspect in the investigation according to the incident report from the sheriff's office.
