Woodward, Okla. —
High Plains Technology Center will host the annual College Days event Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., according to school Counselor Amber Riley.
High School students from Arnett, Buffalo, Fargo, Fort Supply, Gage, Mooreland, Mutual, Vici and Woodward will have a chance to preview more than 30 college, universities and other educations organizations, Riley said.
“That puts us at about 320 students,” Riley said. “This exposes them to all the different education opportunities out there.”
Riley said including the military there will be about 30 presenting organizations with information handouts and take home items including scholarship and admissions information.
The students will choose four organizations they would like more information about and be able to go into 15 minute breakout sessions where they will learn more detailed facts about what each has to offer, Riley said.
High Plains Technology Center has been hosting the College Days event for about 20 years, Riley said.
“Before, Woodward had one but didn’t have enough room to hose it for the other schools, that felt left out, so Don Bird set this up years ago so there would be enough room and just have all the schools,” Riley said.
