Woodward News

Woodward, Okla. — The annual November Harvest Gala fundraiser for the Woodward Mid-Day AMBUCS will feature wine, food and fun.

Hypnotist Mike Breeze will present his "Hypnosis with Mike, Comedy Show" to highlight the evening at the conference center.

Everything starts at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at 6 p.m. along with a cash bar and silent auction. Opening ceremonies and dinner catered by JB's Steak House starts at 7 p.m. along with a live auction then the entertainment, which also includes music from Donnie Record.

Organizers said the November Harvest is the main fundraiser each year for the Mid-Day AMBUCS and funds a number of community projects.

Some of their highlights the past year include:

• Giving nearly $20,000 in community donations

• feeding up to 130 children and adults twice a month through a Fun and Lunch program

• Provided 6 AmTrykes to local and area physically challenged children, adults and veterans

• Provided welcome packs for the Northwest Domestic Crisis Center and school supplies to children in need.

Breeze said his comedy show includes audiences participation.

"In a state of hypnosis we release our hidden talents and abilities," he said. "During the show we focus on the fun and laughter. Individuals who have seen my hypnosis show before know what a great time there is in store for them. Those who have enjoyed the unique experience are in for a real surprise!"

Breeze said anyone willing can be hypnotized.

"After the show is over, people often say they wish they had volunteered to come up on stage,"he said.  "They see how much fun it is and realize that I am not going to make them cluck like a chicken or bark like a dog. I know that may disappoint a few people, but we focus on good clean fun.”

Organizers said tickets must be purchased in advance. You can geet more information or tickets by calling Sarah at the Woodward Convention and Visitors Bureau, 256-9990.
