Woodward, Okla. —
Both components of a $29 million school bond issue for the Woodward School District passed by wide margins on Tuesday.
The first part for school improvements ranging from safe rooms and improved security entrances at all district sites to improved technology received approval from just over 80 percent of the voters. There were right at 1,200 votes cast.
A second part, a transportaion bond to overhaul the school district’s bus and vehicle fleet over the next 5 years, received 81 percent approval.
Passage of the bond issue will not increase property taxes.
