Woodward, Okla. —
VICI - The Vici Lions Club is hosting a session on production and technology for growing healthier food tonight at 7 p.m. at the Vici Cafe.
The session will be conducted by Wathena Luthi of Luthi Family Farms in Fargo. She is sponsored by the U.S. Pork Board.
Luthi said she will discuss how ongoing improvements in agriculture science are helping producers turn out better food more efficiently than before, while using fewer natural resources.
Scott Cooper, president of the Vici Lions Club, said the public is welcome to attend.
Those interested in joining the Lions Club can find out more and sign up at tonight's meeting or at any of their other weekly meetings, Cooper said.
"We meet every Thursday there at the cafe," he said.
