Woodward, Okla. —
Schedules have been released for the Woodward County and Woodward District Livestock Shows.
The county show is set for March 4-5 at the Woodward County Fairgrounds.
On March 4, a Monday, the lamb lead interviews begin at 10 a.m. and the lamb lead contest is at 11 a.m. Lamb lead will have junior (age 9-11), intermediate (12-14) and senior (15-18) divisions and garments made must be at least 60 percent wool and sewn by the contestant.
Judging for market ewes and wether lambs will begin at noon and judging of goats will follow 30 minutes after completion of the lamb show.
Bryan Kennedy, the Hennessey Ag-Ed instructor, will judge the sheep and goats.
On Tuesday, March 5, the cattle show starts at 10 a.m. with heifers followed by steers. The swine show will begin 30 minutes after completion of the cattle.
Judge for the cattle and swine shows is Jerrod Lundry, the Fairview Ag-Ed instructor.
A few days later, starting March 9 and running through March 14 is the 10-county district livestock show that typically draws nearly 1,000 exhibitors.
FFA and 4-H contestants come from Woodward, Beaver, Cimarron, Texas, Woods, Dewey, Ellis, Harper, Roger Mills and Major counties for the show.

Here is the schedule for the week
9 a.m. - Meat judging contest at Ray's Meat Market
2 p.m. - Gilt show begins
9 a.m. - Judge barrows
9 a.m.- Judge doe goats followed by wethers
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. - Lamb lead interviews.
11 a.m. - Lamb lead contest
Noon - Judge ewe lambs followed by wether lambs
9 a.m. - Judge heifers
2 p.m. - Steer show starts
5:30 p.m. - Premium auction dinner
6:30 p.m. - Premium auction
Several area counties will hold their shows over the next couple of weeks.
Ellis County's livestock show is March 3-5 in Shattuck, Beaver holds its show March 4 at the county fairgrounds in Beaver and Alva is host for the Woods County Show on March 4-5.
