One killed in Major County wreck

Woodward, Okla. — One person was killed and another hospitalized as the result of a 2-vehicle accident  in Major County on Monday.

Larry Don Worley, 57, of Okeene, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Lisa Diane Koehn, 49, of Isabella, was admitted in stable condition to Bass Hospital in Enid.

According to the OHP report, Worley was driving his pickup north on county road 257 and Koehn was going east on state highway 58 in a Honda. The report said Worley's vehicle failed to yield from the stop sign and was hit by Koehn's vehicle. Worley was ejected an unknown distance.

The OHP said the accident is still under investigation.

Trooper Sammy Lee led the investigation with assistance from other troopers. Also responding to scene was the Major County Sheriff's Office and Fairview Fire and Rescue.
