Area schools plan Christmas programs

Woodward, Okla. — Fun sounding themes dominated this year with the various Christmas programs offered by outlying regional school districts.


Arnett Elementary and High School students will present "A Pirate Christmas" Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The production is a mixed musical drama, including some traditional Christmas music, according to Arnett Music Instructor Nicki Gaisford.


According to Buffalo School Office Administrator Barbara Snell Buffalo students will feature their Christmas music program Dec. 18, at  6:30 p.m. The performance will take place in the auditorium and will be offered by the entire student body -from Pre-K through 12th grade.


This year's Christmas Music Program will be offered in two separate performances Dec. 9 and 10 at the Fargo High School auditorium. The performance will be by the Pre-K through fourth grade students. "The Incredible Reindeer", Christmas production will be presented at 1 p.m., on the 9th with the evening performance at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th.


The school’s Christmas program will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 19 in the school gym.


The Gage Elementary School students will offer a Christmas music program Dec. 17 at  6:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium.


Laverne Elementary students, Pre-K through fifth grade, will present "Christmas Around the World" Dec. 17at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The program will be directed by music instructor Jewel Conner. "We have songs from Germany, Poland France, Mexico, Israel and of course United States and Scandinavia," Conner said. There will be costumes from each country. The public is invited to attend.


The school will hold its 5th-12th grade band/vocal Christmas concert Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.


"Merry Christmas Flintstones" will be presented by Seiling Elementary students, kindergarten through sixth grade, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The performance will take place in the high school auditorium. The Seiling High School band, choir and speech students will present their musical drama at 2 p.m. on Dec. 18.
