Woodward, Okla. —
There are still tickets available for this Sunday's Christmas Tour of Homes sponsored by Woodward Main Street.
Main Street Director Janet Fitz said people are encouraged to get their tickets in advance because there is a limited supply.
"We only have a certain amount of tickets and once they're gone that's all we have," Fitz said.
She said tickets can be purchased at several businesses in town, including Persimmon Creek, Sally's Quiltworks, The Flower Pot, Compass Athletics, MJ Images, Just Beyond the Door, and Expressions Boutique.
Or people may call the Main Street Office at 254-8521 to reserve their tickets.
The Tour of Homes will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday, with tour maps available at the Josie Adams Cultural Centre. Any unsold tour tickets will be made available for purchase at that time as well.
"We'll also have cider, coffee and cookies for them before they head out to the homes as well as some music," Fitz said.
She said people can actually start picking up their tour maps around 1:30 p.m., but the homes won't be open for visitors until 2 p.m.
"There are 5 houses on the tour," Fitz said, noting "each house is decorated totally differently than the others, so there's sure to be something to warm everyone's heart."
In addition to getting to visit the beautifully decorated homes, Fitz said whoever purchases a ticket for the Tour of Homes will also be entered for a chance to win door prizes which include merchandise from several Main Street retailers.
Proceeds from the Tour of Homes will go to benefit the Woodward Main Street organization.
"This is a fundraiser for Woodward Main Street. We're a non-profit organization and we raise funds in order to be able to bring events to Woodward and to Main Street and to do the decorating that we do and so that we can have a Main Street Office that is active and able to help people with their businesses," Fitz said.
