Woodward, Okla. — Commissioners had a brief meeting on Feb 11 to discuss the resigning of an engagement letter between P.R. Payne and Associates, Inc and the Board of County Commissioners due to a name change of expert witnesses in the case of Nextera Energy Resources' lawsuit against Woodward County over property taxes.

County Clerk Charolett Waggoner said, "The original engagement letter was to Business Valuators and Appraisers LLC, but we'd been working with David Payne, so the attorney just wanted to show D.R. Payne and Associates Inc."

County Assessor Mistie Dunn who was also present at the meeting said the rest of the contract would remain the same, the only alteration being the name change of the Expert Witness.
