Woodward, Okla. — The Woodward Public Library is encouraging local adults to fall in love with reading as part of its annual Valentine's Day contest, "A Novel Love Affair."

Library Clerk Cindy Colclasure said the contest "is a way for us to reach out to new library patrons as well as our continuing supporters."

Colclasure explained how the contest works, saying that participants roll a die, then are given a trivia question that corresponds to the number they rolled. From there they fill out their contact information on the trivia card, answer the question, and turn it in to be entered in a prize drawing.

Those who answer correctly have the chance to win a dinner date for 2 to a local restaurant as well as 2 movie passes.

The trivia questions will deal with poetry and literature, asking things such as who wrote a certain book or poem, with multiple choice answers to select from.

"They really have to know the answer though," Colclasure said. "It's no guessing game."

Library patrons will have the opportunity to enter the contest through Feb. 13 as the prize drawing will take place on Valentine's Day Feb. 14.

Contestants must be 18 or over to play and those interested need only inquire at the library's front desk.

Colclasure said the purpose of the contest is "to promote education and entertainment, as well as promote adult attendance to the library and encourage good community relations."
