The High Plains Technology Center Board of Education will be getting several routine annual renewals out of the way during their monthly meeting Monday, Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the HPTC Board Room.
First on the list is the discussion of the contract renewal for HPTC Superintendent Dwight Hughes.
Administrative Assistant Rachelle Rogers said, "Every year in January the board discusses the rehiring of the superintendent for the new year."
Also up for annual renewal is the HPTC's resolution approving the interlocal cooperative agreement for the Circuit Engineering District.
"That is for the road signs around the campus. It just allows us to buy stop signs from them. It's something we do every year," Rogers explained.
Wrapping up the list of annual renewals on Monday's agenda will be HPTC's 403(b) retirement plan document as well as the company that oversees the plan, National Benefit Services, LLC.
With annual routine business out of the way, the board will be turning its attention to monthly routine business, namely the consideration of general fund encumbrances in the amount of $152,511.33, payroll encumbrances in the amount of $14,692.20, and the Dec. 2012 treasurer's report as well as the superintendent's report.
Finally, the agenda calls for the board to consider the hiring of new employees, but as of Friday morning, no one was listed for consideration.
"No one is on the list for hiring yet, it's on the agenda just in case," Rogers said.
