Woodward, Okla. — The Woodward Industrial Foundation Board of Directors voted to approve the membership of the Air Products company at their monthly board meeting on Wednesday.

Woodward Industrial President LaVern Phillips said,

"The Air Products company has taken over an old facility used by Union Carbide at one point and really made it into something," said Woodward Industrial Foundation President LaVern Phillips. "This is the first facility the company has built in nearly 25 years, they're a very environmentally friendly company making their product from the air, and they'll be a great addition to the community and the WIF as well."

WIF Board Chair Alan Case II expressed similar sentiment, saying "The Air Products people are straight shooters. They've made at least a 40 year commitment to being in Northwest Oklahoma, they're good people and they'll be good neighbors."

Also discussed during the meeting was Director of Transportation Gary Ridley's visit to Woodward earlier this week..

"Woodward really has a friend in Ridley," Phillips said. "The WIF has been closely involved with transportation in northwest Oklahoma, we see its importance and so does Ridley."
