Woodward, Okla. —
The Childrens' Arena of Services will hold its flea market at the Woodward County Fairgrounds on March 14-15.
Organizers said items you can expect to find include: home decor, clothing of all sizes, homemade crafts, antiques, and scentsy items. The Masonic Lodge will be running a concession stand.
“There's going to be a little bit of everything” Christi Waggoner, an organizer of the event, said.
There are still a few booths available. Booth rental includes tables, chairs, and advertising. The proceeds from the booth rentals will go towards future events for the community, Waggoner said.
There is also a bonus for those who participate in the flea market. Any items that are no longer wanted will not need to be hauled back home. The Childrens' Arena of Services has arranged for residents from the recent apartment building fire to come out and get anything they may need from what is leftover. What remains then will be donated to OARC.
“It's like a win-win,” Waggoner said. “We try to help the communities as much as we can.”
Several other events are also upcoming including a Baby Safety Shower in April and In June a Make and Take Craft Fair for the children.
Also keep an ear out this summer as well because they are expecting to try a new event - a fishing clinic where children will learn to tie knots and learn how to cast as well as do some fishing.
Childrens' Arena of Services is a local organization that provides programs for children and families throughout the year.
Hours for the flea market are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on March 14 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 15.
