Senior Center hosting sales Saturday

On Saturday, there will be a Memorial Flowers and Bake Sale at the Woodward Senior Citizens Center.

In past years, the center has had similar sales separately, but this year is combining the events.

"This time they get cinnamon rolls and coffee, so that's a little different," said Senior Center Director Kathryn Fanning.

Aside from the free cinnamon rolls and coffee, there will be a wide range of flowers and edible goods for purchase. There will be fresh baked pies, cakes, and cookies. In addition to the sweet pies, there will also be a cheeseburger pie which would make a delicious main course for lunch or dinner. There will be various jellies and jams as well as casseroles.

"It's a good time to stock up for Easter," Fanning said.

All proceeds go toward various needs at the Senior Center.

The Memorial Flowers and Bake Sale will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. and is open to everyone.
