Woodward, Okla. —
Four people were hospitalized as the result of a one-vehicle accident in Woodward County Thursday morning.
Melissa Myers, 36, Bryce Myers, 14, and Laramie Darden, 10, all of Woodward were taken to Woodward Regional Hospital then flown to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. All were listed in stable condition, said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Ashtyan Myers, 10, of Woodward, was admitted in stable condition to Woodward Regional Hospital.
Another person, Jarett Darden, 13, of Woodward, was treated and released at the hospital.
According to the OHP report, Myers was driving south on a county road 1 mile north and 2 miles east of Mooreland, and the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at a T-intersection. continued on and struck an embankment. The OHP said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Bryce Myers, Laramie Darden, Ashtyan Myers and Jarett Darden were all passengers in the vehicle.
Everyone was wearing seatbelts and nobody was pinned or ejected, the OHP said.
The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m.
Trooper Cody Rehder investigated the accident. The Woodward County Sheriff's Department, Woodward Fire and EMS and the Mooreland Fire Department all responded to the scene as well.
