Benefit planned

Woodward, Okla. — A benefit dinner and auction will be held Saturday night for local teacher Larri Anne Johnson-Bishop.

She was injured in an ATV accident in September while supporting the Chris Albert Memorial Fund Benefit. Johnson-Bishop, a single mother of 3, suffered numerous injuries and breaks to both arms.

She was mediflighted to the OU Medical Center and was there for 18 days. She has undergone 10 surgeries and currently is going through skin grafts on her right hand and arm. During this, she has not been able to return to her position as a second grade teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School.

The benefit will help raise money for medical expenses.

The benefit is at the Moose Lodge, 3702 1st St. A donation-only dinner starts at 6 p.m. with the auction to follow along with music by D. J. Steve after the auction.
