UPDATE: Escapee caught Thursday night.

Woodward, Okla. — FORT SUPPLY-- Tylyr Shane Davis, who escaped from William S. Key Correctional Center Thursday afternoon, was caught a few hours later.

Davis was caught by Harper County Sheriff’s officers Thursday, officials at William S. Key confirmed. Additional details on how and where Davis was caught were not available. According to scanner traffic, he was in custody around 8:15 p.m.

Davis, 18, escaped from the minimum security prison around midday Thursday.

Described as a white male, 6'3" tall, 154 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He had been at William S. Key for only 2 weeks, said Warden’s Assistant Linda Eike Thursday afternoon.

Eike said Davis was last seen during the pre-lunch inmate count.

"We do a count at about 11 a.m. before we let them out for the noon meal," she said.  "Then we do another count after lunch."

It was at this post meal count that Davis was first unaccounted for, she said.

"So we performed a secondary count and that's when it was confirmed he was missing at 15:57 (3:57 p.m.)," she said.

Davis was serving time at the Fort Supply prison on a 2012 conviction from Tulsa County for burglary in the second degree.
