Woodward, Okla. —
The Woodward Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association is preparing to jazz it up at the Woodward Conference Center.
The group’s third annul Red Tie Jazz event is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Red Tie Jazz is a come-and-go event that originated as way for the university to show appreciation for alumni, as well as friends.
Dr. Deena Fisher, dean of Woodward NWOSU said, “ Red Tie Jazz is our way of thanking our supporters and members of our Alumni Association. We want to let them know that their support and their loyalty to Northwestern is important and we want to say ‘thank you very much.’ It’s a great big thank you party and our way of giving back to our community and supporters.”
Formerly called Jazz on the Patio, the name was changed to Red Tie Jazz, because the NWOSU colors are red and black. This is also a wonderful networking opportunity in a relaxed atmosphere, Fisher said.
T.Z. Wright and Max Ridgway will be performing. Hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served and door prizes will be given away.
Attire is business casual, perhaps jazzed up with a red tie!
