Woodward, Okla. — How to utilize digitized family history books to explore family histories is the topic for the Northwest Oklahoma Genealogical Society (NWOGS) meeting Nov. 13.

"The books are filled with the results of extensive genealogical research," said NWOGS President Linda Fox. "They can be accessed free at"

Fox said digital access can make searching one's roots simpler than going to a library and reviewing actual books.

The genealogical society meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Family History Center, 2023 Main. The public is welcome and invited to attend the free meeting, Fox said.

As always, she encouraged bringing along something to take notes to record tips for when conducting family background analyses.

Contact Fox for more information on the meeting and NWOGS at (580) 334-4318 or  echslfox@pldi,net, or the Family History Center, (580) 256-5113.
