County considers projects

Rowynn Ricks

The Woodward County Commission will be considering two important funding-related requests during their regular weekly meeting Monday morning.

The first is a request from Woodward County/City Emergency Management Director Matt Lehenbauer to adjust the amount of county funding his office will receive for Fiscal Year 2008-2009.

The second request is actually an application and resolution request from the Quinlan Community Rural Water District No. 1 for a 2009 REAP Grant from the Oklahoma Economic Development Authority.

In other financial business, the County Commissioners will be considering blanket purchase orders, approving a resolution for the maximum monthly highway expenditures and opening bids for six-month supplies for emulsions and gyp rock for all County Highway Districts.

The Woodward County Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Woodward County Courthouse.

After being brought up during the audience participation section of Monday’s City Commission meeting, the topic of a dog park has been included on the agenda for the Woodward Parks and Beautification Board’s Tuesday meeting.

The Parks Board members will also receive their regular update on progress at Crystal Beach Park during the meeting.

The Woodward Parks and Beautification Board will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Commission Room of City Hall.
