The Woodward Chamber of Commerce is now taking nominations for Citizen of the Year, an annual award given to one Woodward individual each year.
Anyone who would like to make a nominations may visit the Chamber of Commerce to retrieve a nomination form.
The award is presented based on the individual’s volunteer services to Woodward and surrounding areas, accomplishments in city and area betterment, character, civic leadership and personal accomplishments in business, family, church and school.
“It’s a very difficult award because Woodward is full of any number of citizens of the year,” said Woodward Chamber of Commerce President C.J. Montgomery.
Nomination forms must be returned to the Chamber by Dec. 10 and the award will be presented in January at the Chamber’s annual banquet.
At this time high school juniors may also apply for the honor of becoming Student Citizen of the Year.
Woodward’s current Citizen of the Year is Krista Yadon.
