The Northwest Domestic Crisis Center is still selling tickets for those who would like to enter to win the 2008 Covington’s customized Harley Davidson.
The proceeds from the fundraiser will go to build a transitional living center, a place for abused women to safely live with their children while they further their education.
“It’s going fairly well,” said the crisis center’s executive director, Paul Fockler.
Fockler said the raffle has paid for the materials of the bike and now every ticket sold will go directly to the transitional living center fund.
“How well we do with the ticket sales is how much we can do with the profits,” said Fockler.
The motorcycle, worth $24,000 (with trailer), has been on display in various places in Woodward but is showcased nearly every weekend at motorcycle rallies around the country.
Tickets are sold at each motorcycle rally where the bike is exhibited but the tickets are continuously on sale through the Northwest Domestic Crisis Center.
“We wanted to give Woodward people the first chance,” said volunteer coordinator Janet Fitz, in a previous interview.
Tickets are $20 each, six for $100 and 35 for $500 and are available for purchase at 1323 Kansas St. in Woodward or by calling (580) 256-1215.
The center is set up to take Visa and Mastercard.
